These responses are returned to the sender during an SMTP mail session, before allowing the transfer of
message data.  The objective is to provide as much certainty as possible on the disposition of a message,
without the risk of sending "bounce spam" to a forged return address.  Once a message is accepted, it
should be delivered, even if only to a spam quarantine box.  The overriding principle is No False Rejects
of messages from a legitimate sender.
